The relationship St. Matthew’s Anglican School has with 28:19 Ministries is nothing short of incredible—a true gift from God. I’ve been at St. Matthew’s for about 13 years, and over that time, I’ve seen firsthand how this partnership has brought real growth and blessing to our school.
The funds we receive from 28:19 have been used in the most practical, life-changing ways. Many of our students come from families who struggle to afford the basics. Through 28:19’s generosity, we have been able to provide uniforms, school supplies, and even meals for children who otherwise would have gone without. That kind of support doesn’t just meet physical needs, but it also restores hope to these families.
Even in protecting our school, 28:19 has made a difference. A few years ago, burglaries were happening almost daily. Thanks to the security cameras they donated, those break-ins have completely stopped. What once felt unsafe and uncertain is now a secure environment where our students can learn without fear.
In addition to their practical support, we are thankful for the ministry’s consistent presence. Every Christmas, 28:19 is right there with us, helping with one of our most treasured traditions, the annual tree lighting ceremony and Christmas bazaar. Their investment isn’t just in the school, but in the families and villages around us. That spirit of generosity has the whole community.
Because 28:19 Ministries has been so generous, we have grown a reciprocal partnership that I treasure. When they ask to use our school for Bible studies or worship nights, my answer is always yes. It’s only right to give back when we’ve received so much. And beyond that, it blesses me to know our students have a safe space to learn about Jesus, to grow, and to worship.
The relationship we’ve built is more than a partnership. It feels like family. Whenever our students hear that 28:19 Ministries is coming to visit, they light up! They know the names and faces of the team. Our teachers, parents, and staff have grown close as well, so close that we even keep in touch through a WhatsApp group, sharing advice, encouragement, and prayer.
What makes this partnership even more powerful is how it aligns with our vision as a school. As an Anglican school, faith is part of our curriculum, and what 28:19 brings fits seamlessly with what we teach. From summer camps to discipleship opportunities, they help reinforce lessons of stewardship, friendship, and faith that continue into the school year. Their work has even broken down barriers between schools that were once rivals. Now, instead of competing, our students are worshiping and serving alongside one another.
When I think about what 28:19 Ministries has meant for St. Matthew’s, I can honestly say they’ve impacted our students academically, spiritually, and holistically. They’ve met real needs, created lasting relationships, and shown us what it looks like to be each other’s keeper. For that, we are truly grateful.
