28:19 Ministries has made a lasting, eternal impact on my life and has been a vital part of my faith journey. One of the most meaningful things about serving with 28:19 Ministries are the opportunities I can serve alongside my family. There is nothing quite like serving shoulder to shoulder with your spouse and child, working toward a greater purpose together.
Whether it’s been serving in the yard sale or sausage fundraisers, organizing clothing at World Help, or preparing supplies for the Belize Mission Experience, serving alongside 28:19 Ministries has not only brought us closer to God but to each other. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to model our values of compassion, selflessness, and community for my daughter, while we are serving a purpose that is greater than ourselves.
Serving with 28:19 Ministries reminds me what the heartbeat of our family is. It gives us space to grow in faith, while making a difference in the lives of others. For that, I am truly grateful.
In 2024, I stepped out of my comfort zone and applied to be part of the Mission Experience team. I had a brand new suitcase, a few nerves, and a willing heart, but I didn’t know what to expect. I had never been to Belize. I didn’t know all of our team members. Day by day, though, those strangers became family.
The heat was intense. The days were long, but it was all worth it. Even on the first day, while setting up the school for the Bible Adventure Camp, I was amazed by the places joy could be found. Honestly, the conditions of the classrooms shocked me. While we hung streamers and placed decorations, all I could wonder was, “How do they learn here?”
Then, I stepped back. The room had been transformed. It was filled with bright colors. It was filled with joy and hope, and I realized I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I was on a mission that was bringing hope into places that it couldn’t be found.
In addition to the Bible camp for kids, our team hosted conferences for women, teen girls, and teen boys. In everything we did, we had one invitation: to show how deeply God sees and loves every single person. And in giving my time, I received more than I could have imagined.
That trip stretched me. It pushed me to lead and serve in ways that I didn’t that I was capable of. I discovered strength I didn’t know I had. And through it all, I saw God at work – in the community, in our team, and in me.
Belize wasn’t just a trip. It changed me. And I’ll never forget it.
This past year, while serving in Belize with 28:19 Ministries, I experienced a freedom in my faith journey that I didn’t even realize I needed. It was a breakthrough moment, where I felt completely surrendered.
Public speaking has never been something I’m comfortable with, but during this trip, I was gently pushed outside of my comfort zone. I was given the opportunity to share a deeply personal part of my story with a group of women, something I rarely speak about. That moment became a turning point for me, a personal revival that reignited my faith in a powerful way. I felt free, and I genuinely desire that same freedom for everyone.
Because I’ve done life with many of the leaders of 28:19 Ministries over the past six years, they knew me, believed in me, and trusted me with that opportunity. They have walked alongside me through so much and have continually poured life and love into not only me, but also my family.
28:19 Ministries isn’t just an organization. It’s family. It’s my family. They live out the love of Christ in real, tangible ways. Their impact is not only visible in the communities they serve but felt deeply by those who serve alongside them. They love people well, and they consistently point others to Jesus. I am humbled and grateful to be a part of this family.
The story isn’t finished yet. When you become a Legacy Partner, you step into what God is already doing through 28:19 Ministries—sharing His love, strengthening communities, and changing lives for eternity.
