Why it matters
We believe the Great Commission is a call to every believer. Making disciples isn’t reserved for pastors or missionaries. It’s something every believer can live out every day, everywhere. God has placed people all around us who need to know Him. They’re our neighbors, coworkers, friends, family members, and the people we cross paths with in our everyday lives. It’s the people right in front of you.
This is the heart behind Stay & Go, a mission experience that equips believers to live on mission in their everyday lives. We believe God can use you exactly where He has placed you, with the people He has placed around you. Your mission field is right where you are.
Stay & Go challenges us to pay attention, step outside of our comfort zones, and say yes when God gives us an opportunity to serve someone, share our faith, or start a conversation.

the stay and go experience
Stay & Go ends with an opportunity to serve together in our own community. After 21 days of looking for ways to live on mission in our everyday lives, participants come together to put it into practice as a group. It’s a chance to serve people close to home, share the love of Jesus, and continue living out what God has been teaching us.

One of the sweetest things we get to watch during Stay & Go is the moment someone realizes just how many opportunities they have to share the love of Jesus in an ordinary day. People they may have passed by before become people to notice, talk to, pray for, encourage, or serve. As participants begin paying attention, they start to see that living on mission can become part of the way they live every day.

Each day begins with a devotional created by 28:19 Ministries to help participants spend time in God’s Word and begin seeing the people and places around them differently. Over 21 days, we ask God to open our eyes to what He is already doing and show us how we can join Him right where we are.

Throughout the 21 days, participants stay connected through morning prayer calls and check-ins along the way. We pray for one another and for the opportunities God may place in front of us, then come back together throughout the experience to share where we’ve seen God moving, what He’s teaching us, and what it looks like to live on mission in our everyday lives. These calls give us a place to encourage one another and stay accountable as we go.
